Complete Streets Policy Manual released by UNOTI, CONNECT, and AARP
September 5, 2012
UNOTI is proud to announce the release and distribution of the Complete Streets Policy Manual, a joint project of the Merritt C. Becker, Jr. UNO Transportation Institute, the CONNECT Coalition at the Center for Planning Excellence, and AARP. UNOTI's Tara Tolford led the preparation of the report, which is informed by stakeholder interviews involved in New Orleans' own path to Complete Streets, and research into national best practices in policy adoption and implementation.
Elected and appointed officials, as well advocacy groups, interested in adopting Complete Streets policies on the local level are highly encouraged to download this free resource outlining the steps to policy adoption and featuring a step-by-step look at the New Orleans policy process.
Download the Manual here, and visit the CONNECT Coalition's Complete Streets page for additional resources.
