Marc joined the UNO Transportation Institute in 2012 as a Research Associate specializing in freight transportation planning. Marc is also a PhD candidate in the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He is currently writing his dissertation entitled "Who Plans? : The Role of Metropolitan Planning Organizations in Regional Freight Planning." Marc's expertise includes federal transportation policy, multi-level governance, regional planning, and intermodal transportation. He received a master's in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University.
